Export a beat from FL Studio: WAV, MP3 and stems for the shop

In FL Studio a shop beat needs three exports: tagged MP3 (preview), untagged WAV (master) and a stems ZIP with the same tracks. One “export everything as MP3” render is not enough – artists buy exclusive, mix rooms need split files.

Short order of operations

1. Mix done, mixer not clipping, headroom around -6 dB
2. Tagged MP3 for the player (voice tag quiet, kick and melody still readable)
3. Mute or remove the tag, untagged WAV 24-bit or 16-bit 44.1 kHz
4. Per mixer track (or sensible groups) WAV stems, same start, same tempo
5. ZIP them, name tracks: kick, 808, snare, hats, melody – not “Insert 7”

Then upload in the producer dashboard. The shop only plays the preview; the buyer gets WAV and stems by email.

Preview: tag yes, beat still readable

File → Export → MP3. Mode Full song or the playlist length you want in the shop. The tag must not eat the first two bars. If the kick disappears after the tag, the tag was too loud – not the limiter too weak.

Untagged WAV

Same song, no tag. WAV, not another MP3. 44.1 kHz is enough for streaming prep; 48 kHz is fine if the project already runs there – do not mix sample rates between stems and master.

Playlist start on bar 1 for every stem. Otherwise the buyer’s vocal sits off the grid.

Stems without chaos

Do not dump 40 inserts. Group: drums, bass, melody, FX, vocal chops. Every file the same length. Do not solo-export one mixer track while others still hit a bus limiter – the balance will change.

Checklist before upload

• Preview on a phone still sounds like a beat, not a voicemail
• WAV with no tag
• ZIP opens, tracks have names, tempo/key sit in the dashboard

→ Exported? Apply as a producer and list
